When I last blogged I was reporting on the marvellous shoes of a friend / model.
Anthony: What's the story with these?
Jenny: I had an event to go to and I also had a go-see for a modelling assignment - I was on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and ducked into United Nude.
A: The designer is the nephew of the Architect Rem Koohaas - they are wonderful!
J: I wanted them immediately.
A: They are distinctive. Have you worn them much?
J: Almost not at all!
A: They look good on your feet but maybe you can display them in your house somewhere as an object of art? I was teaching shoe design the other day and was telling a student that sometimes a drawing looks great and then the sample shoe comes back from the factory and doesn't look nearly as good and the reverse is true. A drawing that looks ordinary and comes back amazing in the flesh.
J: Well, it is lovely to look at!
A: Indeed.
