Last week a fashion journalist asked my opinion - who is the next big shoe star?
No hesitation - Nicholas Kirkwood. All due respect to Choo, Blahnik and Louboutin but Mr. Kirkwood is an innovator. A former assistant to the hatmaker Philip Treacy, Kirkwood also did some time at Cordwainers, the prestigious footwear school. Without getting too technical, he is a very clever patternmaker.
And the shoes? They are beautifully designed, exceptionally well made and most importantly, look sexy on the foot. Nicholas Kirkwood. Look him up.
