having myself recently returned from a work trip, i'm already having to ponder what to pack for this weekend's girl trip where a dear friend will walk down the aisle. i'll be packing lighter than i did for vegas! i'm even going to cram all i own into one small carry-on. no one is charging me for luggage!
we all do it differently. pack, that is. i'm the girl who thinks about what i'll need the week prior but on the morning of the flight i'm running around getting it all stuffed inside my bag. i've seen more professional travelers actually set out their wares days in advance and edit the contents until everything fits.
today's tampabays10 dot com offers an insightful look at what it'll cost you to bring your very favorite things. and tips on how to be most efficient with what you put in that bag. pay particular attention to the following:
• Bring three pairs of shoes max. The experts say it should be enough for any trip; wear one pair and pack the other two.
• Put her shoes in his old socks. Slide a pair of ladies' shoes into an old tube sock to help keep them together and undamaged; the extra socks can also be an emergency backup pair for him, in case he runs out.
• Pack stuff in your shoes. Don't waste that space, but instead put small items into airtight baggies and slip them into your shoes.
of course if you're traveling alone, tip "b" is not an option, but helpful none-the-less. and do they make tube socks anymore? anywho, happy travels. we'd love to hear how you best pack your shoes.
