Old Stephane Kelians

Stephane Kelians

Jenny, my friend, Ford model, soccer mom is moving to Los Angeles. Her husband is a leading fashion and celebrity photographer and the work is out there. A really down-to-earth family. I'll miss them, their daughters and their style.

It isn't unusual for footwear companies and sometimes designers to have large archives of actual shoes. Fashion is cyclical and you never know when you can use an old design. I was on a job recently where we were looking at some amazing and wonderful shoes from the 1940's - they looked as fresh today, some 60 years later.

The boots above are Jenny's, Stephane Kelians, not sure when. They are identical to some we were in awe of during our design meetings. They feel punky and sexy in a not-so-lady-like way - nothing wrong with that - some of the time.
The thinner heel with the platform looks really fresh to me after a few too many seasons of chunky heels. I'd seen Jenny in jeans with them - hot.
With a short skirt - criminally sexy.

I'll be bundling up and returning to the streets of New York now that my semester is done to spot interesting people and their shoes. Thanks for reading.
