Cheers Shoe Lovers! I've recovered from post-Thanksgiving bloat and ready to resume chatting about my friend Jenny's wonderful shoe collection.
Anthony: These are really spectacular and wicked pair of Bottega Veneta boots - I'm a strong guy but these make me weak - tell me about them.
Jenny: I've had these for a while. They're killer tall, sharp toe and that Frankenstein stiching - they're great.
A: They are. Statistics: The leather is a beautiful blue, sort of suede-like but it might be something more exotic, the heel is 3 1/2 inches, they run right up to the knee and then there's that crazy stitching on that toe - they're wicked - period. A clever detail is the partial zipper that allows your sexy leg and ankle into the boot but keeps the collar narrow at the top - Sleek!
A short skirt boot? Must drive the fellas crazy.
J: I do usually wear them with a skirt. My husband likes them very much.
A: We all do! You say you have had them for a while but you appear to take good care of your things. Your better shoes are in their original boxes with the dust bags and I can see using my expert eye that they have been nicely repaired, resoled, etc.
J: The shoes and boots that I love I've had to have maintained because I wear them so much.
A: Here's some excellent advice. Ladies! If you have fine footwear - take good care of your footwear gems. Well made shoes can be resoled, top lifts replaced, etc. many times. Find a repair shop with a good reputation - repair places can be nutty and inconsistent - so ask around. Cheers!
