French footwear designer Paul Mayer will be making a personal appearance at two North Carolina women’s shoe boutiques this week. Monkee’s Irving Park in Greensboro, NC, will be hosting the Paul Mayer Attitudes Trunk Show on Friday, March 19th and Monkee’s of the Village in Winston Salem, NC, will play host on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

The Paul Mayer Attitudes line is perhaps best known for ped-pleasing ballet flats constructed with the softest leathers and the most on-trend color combinations in women’s shoes. He’s been a favorite of shoe lover’s for over 25 years.

Sauntering through Austin’s The Domain—our latest shopping destination—for a little spring fling (retail-therapy, folks!), I peeked into Martin + Osa for some casual eye-candy. They carry a tight collection of nicely-appointed leather shoes, one such designer being J Shoes ~ “with a practical approach to fit and fashion.”

With boots hovering around the $200 mark, check out their Furlong in Stone/Grey combo (dreamy!) and sandals around $100, you’ll not only step out in casual style, but be able to step a LONG way… Their “Estelle” tri-colored tan gladiator, with the saucy rear zipper, will make you finally bust out and slip into a pair of what seemed a tired trend.
