March 20, 2008 from 6pm to 9pm
New York City's Lower East Side boutique, Clarabella 279 E. Houston St. (between Clinton and Suffolk), has been proud to rep a line of vegan handbags since opening last Spring, but until now didn't offer anything in the way of vegan footwear. Enter Gina Ferraracio and her stunning debut collection, Cri de Coeur. On March 20, 2008, Clarabella will host a launch party to celebrate the arrival of this new line. The entire collection will be available for purchase on the night of the event only, from 6 to 9pm. Special orders will be taken for any sold-out styles to ensure that each and every customer walks away happy and well-accessorized.
Cri de Coeur's mission is to become a name synonymous with high fashion and uncompromising ethical values. The aim is to make a real impact on people's mindsets as they shop by helping them to be more aware of how their purchases affect the planet. The materials used for the line are 100% vegan, meaning they are entirely free of animal products, and as environmentally friendly as technology will allow. They are free of harmful PVCs, don't use vinyl, and the glue is non-toxic and not animal based. Made in Europe, production adheres to low-impact environmental constraints, such as eliminating waste and pollution and using only recycled packaging. While maintaining a high standard of sustainability, the line doesn't sacrifice on style. These are shoes for serious fashionistas, with a conscience.
