Dear Readers,

So sorry for my absence - life as a shoe designer swept me away across the sea...

Jenny, my friend, Ford model, soccer mom is moving to Los Angeles. Her husband is a leading fashion and celebrity photographer and the work is out there. A really down-to-earth family.

A cold day in NYC - I donned my street shoes and hiked over to Project Runway alum Emmett McCarthy's shop where he was hosting a Tim Gunn bobblehead signing with - Tim Gunn.

So it finally has snowed here in New York and so what better way to celebrate than to chat with my friend, model and hipster Jenny about her boots.

Cheers Shoe Lovers! I've recovered from post-Thanksgiving bloat and ready to resume chatting about my friend Jenny's wonderful shoe collection.

Saturday one of my children had a playdate with a girlfriend - here's where it gets really good. Her mom, Jenny, is a model - a top one - and has wonderful shoes.

Friday evening, my lovely wife and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary by dining at Balthazar, shacking up at the Waldorf and crashing a line of star struck ladies waiting to meet Stuart Weitzma

Today begins my blog. I'm celebrating by heading into the City and going to the new Saks shoe department to see Stuart Weitzman, the man and the shoes.
