Now THIS is a pair of shoes. Proenza Schouler is stepping outside the comfort-zone with this flashy pair of woven-leather peep-toe platform sandals, and they lace-up to give you a snug fit. The basket-weave plays nicely against the zip-zag detail of covered 5 1/2″ heel. And they are HOT.
Tthe wicked “OE0002″ profile…shows off the 1 3/4″ platform.

March has started with a bang, Ladies! The Bachelor finally settled on his true love. The Oscars gave us oodles of glamorous dresses. And we are surely promised a reprieve from the gloomy weather. Still need more, be sure to see which pair keeps you celestially well-heeled in this month’s shuzscopes…
Let’s start with the super-charged studs and rhinestones on Report’s “Bowery” peep-toe, side-zip bootie. $325 at Zappos.com.
Charles David “Gazebo” strappy leather slingback sandal with studded vamp and cork platform. $274.95 at Zappos.com.

The Bachelor’s Vienna in gold heels…

Ok, I admit, Stephinitely was front-row watching the finalé of ABC’s The Bachelor, albeit alone! Let’s call it “fashion research” shall we? While I’m now hard-pressed to find anything about her shoes online, she donned a very beautiful Carmen Marc Valvo single-shouldered flowing gown. And it was pretty.
If memory serves (and don’t fault ME if it doesn’t because I’m simply having fun here), she sauntered toward him in a gold T-strap sandal… so, in honor of the happy couple… I’ve pulled together a few other steamy shoes worthy of any St Lucia stroll. First, a lady could not go wrong in a pair of vintage-inspired peep-toe pumps by Sergio Rossi. Style: A03541. Perhaps instead of the FIVE cars her Daddy has purchased, she’d rather take these Lime-colored snake-skin platforms for a spin. $999 at Zappos.com.
A pair of woven bird-cage platforms by Moschino, Style: CA1627BC0R, could be very forgiving for anyone trying to get extra mileage out of their pedi. I’m just sayin’. $604.00 at Zappos.com.
A pair of tri-colored daniblack “Romie” sandals would allow Vienna to graduate from Daddy’s “Little Princess” to status of “modern goddess.” $192 at Zappos.com.
And because Vienna is known as the naughty girl, a pair of “Decked Out 2″ suede platforms by Naughty Monkey. The printed-skin wrapped platform is gonna be smokin’ in the Big D! $79.94 at Zappos.com.
Last but not least, Vienna will need a pair of $#it-kicking heels for her nights in Dallas’ Honky-tonks…How about a pair from another blonde linked to Dallas? Jessica Simpson’s “Koolia” sandal is a fun boot-hybrid. Flashy! And the front-zip provides EASY access. Teehee. $89.99 at Heels.com.

Shoes of Prey… let you do the designing…

Sure, there was a time you took magic markers to your favorite sneakers (Vans, anyone?). With a few color-blocks and curly-Qs and you fancied yourself a designer. Or, remember that one pair of strippy-strappy sandals whose ankle strap finally gave way? You cut it off and voila-instant mules. It wasn’t your life long dream, but you sure entertained thoughts of becoming your own shoe designer.
Fast forward to today, and e-meet the folks at “Shoes of Prey.” They’ve done some heavy lifting, so you can waltz right over to their site and design yourself a fancy pair of shoes. More to the point, “Shoes of Prey creates beautiful bespoke women’s shoes, designed online by you. You choose the heel, toe, fabric, colour and embellishments. Our expert craftsmen then make your shoes to measure, swaddle them in a soft dust bag and crisp new box, and ship them straight to your waiting feet.” Swaddle them? Don’t you just dig the Aussie lingo?
Ladies, shoe-love is universally spoken. And I have to admit, I lost myself in the “start designing” section of their site. For the sake of a “shuz” experiment here’s what I created. First, choose heel height or toe shape, I’m liking the wedge. Shoes of Prey then offered 19 toe-shapes to choose from, let’s go with the bow.
Next, I was prompted to fine-tune the back of the shoe, then adjust heel. And color it with a bright range of snake skins, leathers and suedes. And the pair I created. If happy, click on “purchase” or play again with the “Start over” button.
Here’s the best part: they are incredibly priced for being bespoke shoes, and shipping is $25 for worldwide service. Need more information? They have an extensive FAQ page, and are eager to please. And when yours arrive, be sure to let shuzsociety know how they turned out!!!
