Winter is closing in: At least for some of us. It’s time to start thinking about what fab things to take to those capes of escape. If not that, then one can at least get a jump on the hot spring styles, before they are scooped up by all those ladies with their best laid plans. Not everyone can leave the boardroom or the carpools long enough to luxuriate at some tropical locale. But you could opt to put on a skimpy outfit, and your new Blahniks, and tease your special someone right from home!
Speaking of Manolo: There are some sensuous sandals hitting the shelves as we speak. There is the satin pleated tan and black, leopard print thong, $565, an azure blue thong with a circle of rhinestones in the center, and an all-white leather thong whose straps are two rows of small daisies, $630. Fabulous Fendi: You will be Fendi-ng off the natives when you break out these edgy, sexy numbers. The favorite is the totally glamorous mule with Fendi logo in black and clear caviar crystals across the foot. The cruise shoes are so sweet in typical Fendi bright color combinations in patent. Patent just keeps on working. There is an especially nice sling back ballerina with a squared toe, $510.
And a must shoe for those summery dresses and pants is the rockin’ black and white pump in bold Fendi logo, $490, with peep toe, black patent trim and a tiny blue piping around the edges. Those shoes are oh- so- Italian-espresso on- the-via duct, or breezy, sunny walk down a cafe lined street on the islands.
No-Tory-us: If flat out fun and comfortable-casual is going into the luggage the bright new patent Tory Burch hues will cruise you out of the winter blues, $195. Fuchsia and tangerine make a splash on Ms. Burch’s new ballerinas this year.
